Founded in 2017, THE NEXT GARDENER is more than an online succulents nursery. We offer expertise, passion, and attentive care. Every plant variety is hand selected for its unique qualities, and every package contains our best wishes for you as you experience the joy of succulent gardening. Keep Going, Keep Growing is our motto and we are thrilled to share our love of succulents with our customers. Growing succulents is a relaxing hobby that brightens the home and office and most plant lovers consider succulents to be low-maintenance plants. Being a cactus parent is simple with THE NEXT GARDENER there to help you find the most interesting specimens and provide the best possible care. We know here at THE NEXT GARDENER that packaging and shipping significantly impact the delivery of high-quality products through the mail. Our goal is always to provide strongly rooted healthy succulents that can be tightly wrapped to protect them and prevent unnecessary damage. We have tried many methods for successfully shipping our succulents, from small bags made of non-woven fabrics to packing them with shredded paper and air dunnage bags. Finally, we decided that polypropylene cotton, which can also be used as stuffing for dolls, is the best filler for protecting live plants while in transit. THE NEXT GARDENER features its own professionally crafted organic cactus soil available in our store. Phillip created a specialized soil recipe after traveling to Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands to learn first-hand from succulent-growing experts. With the help of local gardeners, he has perfected the recipe and now uses the soil for our all of our succulents here at THE NEXT GARDENER. If you are unsure about using the soil, we suggest purchasing a small potted succulent first and checking it out for yourself! THE NEXT GARDENER collection has expanded to over 650 different varieties of succulents and cactus. We ship year-round to the contiguous United States (Alaska, and territories are not included). Stay tuned as we continue to add more new and exciting items to our catalog, including planter pots and gardening tools! We love to interact with succulent lovers.
